On the eve of April 7 visit to Moscow in an interview with RIA Novosti Armenian Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan said replenishment of the Armed Forces with modern weapons is a priority.
“The process of replenishing the Armed Forces of Armenia with modern military-technical means has been and remains one of our priorities; and this issue will always be under our spotlight,” Pashinyan said.
The PM stated that large-scale reforms have already launched in the Armenian Armed Forces, “which are also being carried out in close cooperation with the Russian partners.”
“We have already started large-scale reforms in the Armed Forces, of course, taking into account our close allied partnership relations with Russia in the sphere of military and military-technical partnership, relevant consultations are underway. The necessary contacts at the level of experts have already been established,” said the Prime Minister.
“We are confident that this cooperation will continue successfully, and Armenia is very interested in this,” Pashinyan emphasized.
