Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov met with his Armenian counterpart Ara Aivazian within the framework of the CIS Foreign Ministers Council meeting in Moscow on April 1, the official website of the Russian Foreign Ministry informs.
The Foreign Ministers of the two countries discussed the implementation of the statements of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia leaders signed on November 9, 2020 and January 11, 2021. Special attention was paid to the urgent issues of humanitarian response in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), the unblocking of economic and transport ties in the Caucasus region.
The ministers spoke about the current issues of Russian-Armenian cooperation, including high-level contacts, preparations for the 30-th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two allies.
They also discussed some international agenda topics of mutual interest.
