According to the Armenia’s Government’s decision, financial assistance will be provided to an employer in case of hiring people injured or disabled during the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) wars.
“Within the framework of the measure, it is proposed to provide assistance to each employer for each hired person, in the amount of income tax paid from that person’s salary, on a quarterly basis, in the amount of a maximum of AMD 100,000 (about $190). Moreover, in addition to this support, it is proposed to provide a one-time compensation of AMD 500,000 (about $950) for expenses incurred in case of need to adjust the workplace, particularly, for the construction of ramps or other needs,” said Armenian Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Mesrop Arakelyan, presenting the draft decision at the Government session.
The Minister also informed that the draft refers not only to those who were wounded during the recent Artsakh war, but also to the citizens who were wounded during the previous wars and are considered disabled servicemen.
