Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, during a weekly briefing, responded to a reporter’s question about the ongoing vandalism of religious and historical heritage sites in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh).
“According to our principled position, we are in favor of the preservation of cultural and religious sites in Nagorno-Karabakh and the surrounding areas. We reaffirm the need for a speedy organization of the UNESCO mission in the region. We are in touch with the sides for each case,” said Zakharova.
