Karmir Shuka community of Martuni region is located in the south-eastern part of the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh).
The mayor of the southeastern community says most of the population is engaged in agriculture, farming and cattle breeding. The village has up to three major farmers, as well as functioning manufacturing industries specializing in sunflower oil production, winemaking, wood development, etc.
Residential buildings constructed in Karmir Shuka with the funds of the Artsakh Investment Fund, the Artsakh Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures reports.
Many families from the surrounding villages have also expressed a desire to move to Karmir Shuka because, in addition to jobs, there is a kindergarten and a newly built school there.
Because of the recent war, many infrastructures were damaged in the community. Fifteen houses were destroyed, ten cannot be repaired. The roofs of 43 houses were changed; metal-plastic windows installed in 65 houses.
It is planned to build 150 houses in the village.
