“Regardless of the fact which party will get the most votes in the June 20 elections, the winner must be the people,” RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated during his visit to Alashkert community, Armavir province.
He said parties do not win or lose in the elections; they simply get more or less votes.
“Our biggest task will be that as a result of the elections, both in 2018 and in 2021, and in all other elections, the people should say, “I won because I decided””, Pashinyan said.
According to him, there are forces in Armenia that do not want the people to decide who will be in power.
“They say we will decide, we will gather in the room, we will decide with the, so-called, ‘elite circles’ who will be in power, who will be in opposition, who is right and who is wrong. We do not waste the power received from you, we want to return the power received from you. You must decide what will happen to that government after this. So, I want to say the people are powerful, the people have decided, they decide, and they will continue to decide,” he said.
