A week before the Feast of the Glorious Resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Armenian Apostolic Church celebrates the Feast of Palm Sunday, celebrating the Triumphant Entry of Christ into Jerusalem.
On the eve of Palm Sunday, on Saturday, the eve of Palm Sunday is celebrated, the curtain of the altar in the churches is opened, and the next day, after the service, a Liturgy is served with an open curtain.
On the morning of the Palm Sunday, olive or willow branches are blessed and distributed to the people in churches. Under the high order of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, Palm Sunday has been declared a day of children blessing. When Christ entered Jerusalem, children greeted the entrance of the Lord with olive branches.
