Armenia will need at least 20,000 new specialists in Hi-tech sector in the next five years, Hakob Arshakyan, RA Minister of High Technological Industry posted on his Facebook page.
“As you know, in 2018 and 2019 the sector grew more than 30%, and in 2020, during the crisis, more than 20%.
The forecast is based on the assumption that the sector growth in the coming years will be at least 20%, and the employment increase - 15% (taking into account the possible hike in wages).
Looking at these numbers, I would like to urge and call on our citizens once again to choose especially natural sciences, and specialists to gain additional knowledge in the sector of technology by participating in programs of the RA Ministry of High Technology and other educational/training projects”, Arshakyan stated.
