Today more than ever, we must intensify our international cooperation and involvement in the international community, Ara Aivazian, the RA Minister of Foreign Affairs, stated at the National Assembly-Government question-and-answer session, referring to the creation of a Committee on Cultural Diplomacy.
“In this sense, culture, as a factor of soft power, has a very important role to play. We tend to make culture a powerful tool in our diplomatic arsenal by creating this platform. We all are proud of our millennial civilization, our cultural heritage, our art, our culture, which, to some extent, should become one of our business cards in communicating with the international community through diplomacy. Armenian artists have created and continue to create permanent values, cultural monuments, pieces of art of universal significance for centuries. We want to shape the perception of Armenia as a center of culture and education in the region through culture in our diplomacy. We have such an advantage. That ideology is set in the creation of this platform,” Aivazian said.
