Brussels destroyed relations with Moscow, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said after talks with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi, Ria Novosti reports.
In Europe, there are only a few countries that are guided by national interests and maintain a partnership dialogue with Russia, the rest destroyed all existing mechanisms, the minister said.
"As long as we have no changes on the western front, in the East we have a very intensive agenda, which is getting richer every year," he added.
At the same time, Lavrov said Moscow is ready to restore ties if the European Union decides to eliminate the anomaly that has arisen.
Recently, the contradictions between the European Union and Russia have intensified due to the situation around Alexei Navalny. Brussels has introduced new anti-Russian sanctions. The Foreign Ministry called them a “dead-end and illegal way” and promised to answer.
According to the press secretary of the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov , the Kremlin is confident that the policy of sanctions against Moscow is not achieving its goal.
