Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at the meeting with the residents of Ujan community in Aragatsotn province said that during the war they stood up and defended Armenian nation’s aspirations until the very last moment.
“We stopped the war when there was no point in continuing. We saw no other outlook. The task was to save literally the lives of our 25-30 thousand soldiers, to get them out of the blockade. Too many people and from various circles have accused me of betrayal.
It is important to ask a question. How was the betrayal expressed, what is the betrayal? At the same time, we are accused of “handing over” the lands and not handing them over. We stood as long as we could. We made the decision when the decision was to be made. Otherwise, there would be a bigger disaster.
We are told that the treacherous power must leave. I have a question: what will happen in this defeat after that removal? The document that we have signed is very hard, very cruel. What are you going to do with it? Are you going to tear it into pieces and throw it away? No. Because it would be a desaster. Hence, the non-singing of it would be a desaster, too, a bigger disaster,” the Prime Minister stated. He offered to examine the reasons for the defeat along with all the episodes of the war starting from the negotiation process.
