A 27 years old nurse died in Georgia after receiving the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine. The woman suffered an anaphylactic shock and went into a coma on Thursday after receiving the jab in Akhaltsikhe, Samtskhe-Javakheti region of Georgia. She was transported to the First University clinic in Tbilisi where she died on Friday.
The AstraZeneca vaccine is the only one available in the country at the moment. Georgia will receive Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines next week. Georgia received 43,200 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine on 13 March. The vaccination for medical workers started on 15 March in Georgia.
