Serj Tankian, world known rock musician, soloist of System of a Down group, shared a music video for his song “Electric Yerevan”. The song appears on Tankian’s new Elasticity EP, out now, Armenpress reports.
The clip offers a visual timeline of the events leading up to the 2008 March events, as well as the events in 2013 followed by the presidential elections, 2015 protests known as “Electric Yerevan” and the 2018 Velvet Revolution.
“The song was inspired by the successful Electric Yerevan protests in Armenia in the summer of 2015 where people protested against proposed hikes in utility prices. People won – the price hikes were cancelled”, Tankian Tweeted.
