President of the Republic of Artsakh Arayik Harutyunyan visited Dahrav, Astghashen and Patara communities, Askeran region, got acquainted with the construction works on the spot and met with the residents.
Fourteen of 28 houses in Dahrav, 34 houses of 50 in Patara, mostly inhabited, are ready within the framework of the free housing renovation and furnishing program of the communities of the Republic of Artsakh to settle the housing issues of the citizens left without shelter after the recent war. Harutyunyan checked the quality of the works done personally, chatted with the re-settlers and was interested in the problems they are concerned.
The head of the Republic stressed in Patara that the road connecting the village with the main highway would be asphalted within this year; the night lightening problem of the community would be settled. The Minister of Urban Development was instructed to draw up a plan for the reconstruction of the village kindergarten.
During the trip, the President of the Republic of Artsakh also visited the construction site of a new residence being built for the displaced residents of the villages of the upper sub-region of Askeran with state and charitable funds in Astghashen community and monitored the works process.
