“The operative-tactical drills of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, to be held on March 15-18, are planned and do not pose any risk to stability and security in the region”, Maria Zakharova, Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman of Russia, said at the briefing.
“Drills are usually conducted by all the states of the South Caucasus. This is regular, the relevant information provided to the interested parties in advance. According to our information, these exercises, as I said, are planned, aimed at improving the combat readiness of the troops, and do not create risks for stability and security in the region", the diplomat emphasized.
On Wednesday, the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan announced the upcoming military exercises with 10,000 servicemen.
