In an interview with Nver Mnatsakanyan, the Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, referring to the question whether we have an unsolvable problem related to the settlements of Syunik, the border, the enemy or the line of contact, emphasized that he thinks we do not have an unsolvable problem.
"This does not mean that we do not have problems, but I think that there is a system of certain security guarantees in Syunik. It is clear that the environment has changed and due to that changed environment there are already certain tensions, but I am sure that those tensions will ease over time. We intend to implement large-scale socio-economic and infrastructure projects in Syunik. Our task today is to create the most favorable environment around Armenia and Artsakh. This is the daily problem we are working on", said the Prime Minister.
Touching upon the topic of opening communications, he said that the constructive and mutually beneficial solution of that problem is one of the factors that can bring long-lasting peace to our region, as well as certain economic benefits, change the economic image and potential of our region and Armenia.
"In general, everything has challenges, but again it is a matter of strategic choice. I think that communications connect us to the region and the region connects to us. They make the region important for us and they make us important for the region", said the Prime Minister.
