“Today, I had a phone conversation with my colleague, the newly appointed chair of Iran-Armenia Friendship Group, Seyed Mahdi Farshadan,” Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, Committee Chair of the NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sports, posted on his Facebook page.
“Congratulating on the 42nd anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, I sent my best wishes to the friendly people of Iran. Issues of further development and expansion of bilateral cooperation were touched upon during the phone conversation.
I especially emphasized the high level of relations established between Armenia and Iran, based on the centuries-old friendly and mutual trust and support, as well as the strong historical and cultural ties. In this regard, both sides stressed the need of giving a new spirit to the cooperation and organization of mutual visits.
Mr. Farshadan, valuing the diverse cooperation between Armenia and Iran and the promotion of the political agenda, informed that he plans to visit Armenia with a delegation in the near future to discuss the prospects of deepening cooperation in more details,” Hayrapetyan concluded.
