Yesterday, the Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan sent a detailed report to the UN Human Rights Council, stating that the Azerbaijani authorities are delaying the return of the captives and are grossly violating international requirements.
"The report was sent to the UN Human Rights Council throug a special procedure. Only national human rights institutions with international "A" status have this opportunity.
The report specifically mentions that the Azerbaijani authorities are abusing legal procedures and politicizing the issue of the return of captives. In this way, they cause mental suffering and purposeful tension to our society and, first of all, to the families of the captives.
