WHO continues to support the Ministry of Health of Armenia, providing equipment and materials needed to fight COVID-19, jointly with donor organizations: European Union, USAID and other organizations. “During the last few weeks, the Ministry of Health has been provided with several large batches of laboratory materials and tests, particularly, 40,000 antigen tests, 140,000 sampling rods, other necessary laboratory materials.
Since the beginning of the fight against the pandemic in the country, the WHO has provided essential equipment and materials.
Personal protective equipment. Medical masks, clothes, gloves and glasses were provided to ensure the safety of the medical staff fighting the disease.
Diagnosis. For more effective, faster testing, PCR and antigen tests, laboratory materials were provided, making possible to increase the volume of testing.
Medical equipment. Medical equipment has been provided to care for patients with COVID-19, including oxygen equipment, electrocardiographs, X-ray machines, ultrasound devices, and patient monitoring devices,” Kzhdryan wrote.
