"As part of routine combat training exercises, mortar crews of the Russian peacekeeping contingent in Nagorno-Karabakh worked out a number of training tasks at the Mardakert training ground.
In the course of practical actions, the servicemen improved the skills of bringing mortars to a combat and marching position. Also, the gunners worked out the coherence and speed of the calculations during firing, aiming at the target by coordinates and when changing settings for shooting, depending on the nature of the target. In addition, the mortars have worked out a number of standards for target reconnaissance and changing firing positions.
At the final stage, the servicemen performed firing practice exercises from closed firing positions at observed and unobserved targets at various ranges.
In total, about 50 servicemen of the Russian peacekeeping contingent were involved in combat training".
