False rumors are spread on social networks and in the press, according to which the statue of Garegin Nzhdeh in the town of Martuni of the Artsakh Republic has been dismantled. According to the rumors, the Azeris appealed to the Russian peacekeepers, and they to the mayor Edik Avanesyan - to dismantle the statue of Nzhdeh.
The mayor of Martuni Edik Avanesyan, responding to the information, reports that the statue is in place, there have been no discussions about its dismantling, according to the Information Verification Center.
The employee of the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture of the Artsakh Republic Nver Dadamyan also responded to that news. He posted a photo and video of the standing statue on his Facebook page and wrote: "He will stand forever".
