Coronavirus mutation will not be a beginning of a new pandemic but it is necessary to be vigilant, according to Hans Kluge, Regional Director for Europe at the World Health Organization, reports Lenta.ru.
Kluge said the new mutation of the coronavirus reminds that the infection has not gone away. He has remarked that this mutation is a natural development of the infection, which seeks to adapt to its new carrier, a human.
Regional Director for Europe of the WHO has revealed that re-infection can be noticed among the people who have already suffered COVID-19. In addition, the most contagious coronavirus types are spreading faster, burdening healthcare systems.
