The situation is new, with new challenges and opportunities, stated the RA Minister of Foreign Affairs Ara Aivazian during the NA-Government Q&A in the parliament.
"The situation is certainly very difficult, and our main goal is to do everything possible to strengthen the security atmosphere around Armenia and Artsakh. And this is not an easy task, because it is a general reflection of the geopolitical situation.
As a state, government and society, we must make every effort to deescalate the situation, which will strengthen the security atmosphere around Armenia. Strengthening security has been and remains a priority issue also for diplomacy", Aivazian said.
Referring to the Turkish-Azerbaijani military exercises in Kars, the Minister noted that any military exercises are a cause for concern, but on the other hand, various "messages" come from Turkey.
"Taking into account the factor of Turkey, I think it is time for us to be guided not by messages, but first of all by actions. I am convinced that Turkey must gradually return to normalcy under the pressure of the international community. First of all, the point is that there is no more reason to impose a blockade on Armenia", the Minister said, noting that the lifting of the blockade will also bring challenges.
