Edward Kirakosyan (born in 1994), a contract soldier, died suddenly on February 8 in a guard post of one of the military units of the Republic of Armenia. An investigation is underway.

The operative situation along the entire Armenian-Azerbaijani line of contact on the Armenian state border did not change on February 8 and 9, no border incidents were reported, the Ministry of Defense informs.
According to the RA NSS, no border incidents were registered in the areas under the responsibility of the NSS border troops, in particular, in the Vorotan-Davit Bek section of the Goris-Kapan interstate highway.
The RA Armed Forces and the NSS border troops continue to control the border situation along the entire border.
