On January 15 and February 1, the ECHR received "Azerbaijan v. Armenia" and "Armenia v. Azerbaijan" interstate complaints.
According to the European Court of Human Rights, the plaintiffs allege widespread violations of the Convention on Human Rights during the hostilities that began on September 27, 2020.
The European Court has received applications for war prisoners from both countries, as well as from relatives of prisoners of war. So far, 241 applications have been received, of which 228 are Armenians and 13 are Azerbaijanis.
The ECHR requested information about these persons from the relevant governments.
