With the servicemen of the Russian peacekeeping contingent in Nagorno-Karabakh, exercises were conducted with the shooting from the standard weapons of the BTR-82, reports the website of the RF Ministry of Defense.
"As part of routine combat training, servicemen of the Russian peacekeeping contingent in Nagorno-Karabakh completed a number of training tasks at the Stepanakert training ground.
During the training sessions with the crews of armored personnel carriers, theoretical and practical exercises were conducted on the operation of the chassis and standard armament of the BTR-82, as well as in the order of their maintenance.
Directly on the track of the tankodrome and the director of combat vehicles, the crews of armored personnel carriers worked out driving at high speeds over rough terrain with overcoming various obstacles, and also performed control firing exercises from the standard armament of the BTR-82A (30-mm automatic cannon 2A72; 7.62-mm coaxial machine gun PKTM) for single and group targets.
Despite the round-the-clock duty of Russian peacekeepers at observation posts, the command of the Russian peacekeeping contingent has planned classes in the main subjects of combat training, including tactical, special tactical, fire, as well as driving combat vehicles and other special automobile equipment.
In total, about 200 Russian servicemen are involved in combat training", the message reads.
