During the special sitting of the National Assembly, the deputy of "My Step" faction Vladimir Vardanyan referred to the violations of humanitarian law by Azerbaijan, which continue by not returning the prisoners of war and torturing them.
"We raise the issue that Azerbaijan's behavior in the region, the placement of mercenaries are considered a threat not only to Armenia but to the whole region. Armenia has started active international processes. An interstate complaint was submitted to the ECHR yesterday", Vardanyan said, adding that all the delegates to the PACE, regardless of political affiliation, spoke about all the issues of concern to our country.
We must move forward, the MP said, adding that this week the chapter (of Criminal Code) on crimes against peace and security of humanity will be discussed, which must be brought in line with international standards.
