The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia has approved the use of the Russian "Sputnik V" vaccine against COVID-19. In a conversation with 1lurer.am, this information was confirmed by the press service of the Ministry of Health.
The decision to approve was made by the order of the RA Ministry of Health, based on the data of the 3rd stage of clinical trials conducted in Russia, without additional research in Armenia.
On November 21, 2020, Russian Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko and head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova visited the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention in Yerevan to attend the opening ceremony of a mobile laboratory.
They also brought with them examples of COVID-19 Sputnik V vaccine. Fifteen people were vaccinated with the Russian vaccine then.
