The Russian contingent of the peacekeeping forces continues to perform tasks on the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh, Russian Defence Ministry
informs.
At twenty-seven observation posts, Russian peacekeepers are conducting round-the-clock monitoring of the situation and monitoring compliance with the ceasefire regime.
The ceasefire is observed along the entire line of contact.
The Russian peacekeepers provide the security of the return of the citizens to their places of permanent residence, the humanitarian aid, the restoration of civil infrastructure facilities.
98 displaced people returned to Nagorno-Karabakh from the territory of Armenia during the day. Since November 14, 2020, 51,635 people have returned to their former residences with the assistance of Russian peacekeepers.
Engineering and sapper groups of the Center for Humanitarian Demining continue to work on the clearance of the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh. During the day, 37 hectares of territory and 5 km of roads, 15 housing structures were cleared, 16 explosive objects were found and removed for destruction. In total, since November 23, 2020, 820.3 hectares of territory, 242.8 km of roads, 944 housing structures, including 27 socially significant objects, have been cleared of unexploded ordnance, 23,889 explosive objects have been found and neutralized.
In order to coordinate efforts to prevent possible incidents in the area of responsibility of the Russian peacekeeping contingent, continuous interaction is maintained with the general staffs of the armed forces of Azerbaijan and Armenia.
