Today, the RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Armenia Alexander Konyuk.
The PM congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment and expressed confidence that his activities will contribute to the further strengthening of the Armenian-Belarusian relations. Pashinyan noted that Armenia attaches importance to the development of political and economic cooperation with Belarus in both bilateral and multilateral formats.
The Prime Minister also referred to the situation after the Artsakh war, emphasizing the balanced position of Belarus. Nikol Pashinyan noted that the return of prisoners of war is an important priority for the Armenian side, as well as the preservation of the Armenian cultural and religious heritage in the territories under the control of Azerbaijan.
Alexander Konyuk noted in turn that Armenia and Belarus, the two peoples, have a lot in common, there is close cooperation, a high level of political dialogue. He assured that during his tenure he will make every effort to further deepen the partnership.
