Artyom Mikaelyan, an Armenian boxer living in the Russian city of Ishim, died in a car accident. According to the Tyumen Boxing Federation, Artyom is the winner of the Russian Junior Championship and the bronze medalist of the European Championship.
The tragedy took place on the evening of January 16 on the 102nd km of the Tyumen-Omsk highway.
The federation expressed its condolences to the boxer's family, relatives and friends.
