During the meeting with the RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, the Russian President Vladimir Putin also touched upon the return of displaced persons and refugees, as well as the provision of humanitarian aid and demining of the territory of Artsakh.
"We are working hard for the return of internally displaced persons and refugees. More than 48,000 people have returned to Karabakh since November 14. The exchange of prisoners and bodies also took place with the mediation of Russia", the Kremlin leader said.
He considered the activity of the International Center for Humanitarian Response in Artsakh effective and noted that within the framework of the center's activities the experts of the countries solve the issues of restoring life in the settlements, restoring of destroyed infrastructure, preservation of historical and cultural monuments. The Russian leader also said that the center's specialists are restoring electricity and gas supply.
"More than 800 tons of construction materials, more than 1.5 million tons of humanitarian aid, have been transferred from Russia to the conflict zone. The population receives medical care. More than 479 hectares were cleared of explosives, 182 km of roads and 710 buildings were inspected. More than 22,000 explosive devices have been found and destroyed", Putin said.
