France has called for a lasting political solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. This was reported today by the Elysee Palace, referring to the telephone conversation between the French President Emmanuel Macron and the Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, TASS reports.
"The head of state had a telephone conversation with the Prime Minister of Armenia. Macron has stated his determination to reach a lasting political settlement to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict following the November 9 ceasefire", the Elysee Palace said in a statement.
According to the official representative of the French Presidential Palace, during the telephone conversation Emmanuel Macron expressed "readiness to support the efforts to release all prisoners of war. France is also ready to support Armenia's economic development".
