On January 4, the European Court upheld another application submitted by Armenia regarding prisoners of war and abducted civilians, applying an interim measure and demanding Azerbaijan to submit information within the set timeframe. We learn about this from the Facebook page of the RA representative in the ECHR.
"At the same time, taking into account the openly contemptuous attitude of the Azerbaijani authorities towards legal proceedings and especially the decisions of the European Court, as well as repeated violations of the deadlines set by the Court and recent statements by the President of Azerbaijan, Armenia appealed to the European Court on January 3 and 5, demanding to submit the question to the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe on the basis of provision 39 § 2 of the Rules of Court
Given the importance of the process regarding prisoners of war and abducted persons and the sensitivity of the issue, we once again urge to refrain from publishing the names of the mentioned persons on social networks", the statement reads.
