The Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told TASS that the only violation since the signing of the ceasefire agreement in Artsakh was registered on December 13, at a place where Russian peacekeepers were not stationed.
"The active steps taken by our peacekeeping contingent with our Azerbaijani and Armenian counterparts prevented the further development of the incident. In the future, we will also make every effort to prevent the ceasefire from being violated", he said. According to him, Moscow has not noticed any provocation against its peacekeepers so far.
"The situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone tends to be settled. We note with satisfaction that Baku and Yerevan are ready to fulfill their commitments and take steps towards a general settlement of the situation. I would like to emphasize the high level of cooperation established between the parties in resolving the issues that arise. Russia, in turn, continues to responsibly and effectively carry out its function as a guarantor of the ceasefire", Lavrov said.
