The Georgian parliament unanimously approved a draft resolution on the country's aspiration to join the EU and NATO, TASS reports.
"Georgia's membership in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization is an indisputable priority of Georgia's foreign policy. North Atlantic unity is the most important condition for strengthening global security", the resolution reads.
Full membership in the EU is also an indisputable priority of Georgia's foreign policy. In addition, the resolution states that the republic is in favor of an exclusively peaceful settlement of conflicts.
Georgia intends to apply for full membership in the European Union in 2024. Georgia has been cooperating with NATO since the late 1990s.
