The RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan made a post on Facebook, inviting the parliamentary and interested extra-parliamentary forces to hold consultations on holding the snap elections in 2021.
"Dear people, dear compatriots, now it is already obvious that the opposition process demanding the resignation of the Prime Minister did not get the support of the people.
The opposition had all the opportunities to generate large support around its demand. It has huge financial, media and organizational resources, wide opportunities to organize rallies and protests, but not only was unable to secure popular support for its demands, but the number of supporters was reduced to a minimum.
And no one can say that we have kept power by using brute force. On the contrary, we are accused of unnecessary mildness. All this, however, does not change the political commitment of our political team and me personally to stand before the people and answer to the people", the Prime Minister wrote, noting that there is only one way to answer all the questions - holding early parliamentary elections.
"I invite the parliamentary and interested extra-parliamentary forces to consultations on holding special parliamentary elections in 2021", Pashinyan wrote.
