On December 23 the RA NA Deputy Speaker Vahe Enfiajyan met with the newly appointed head of the delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Armenia Thierry Ribo.
Welcoming the guest, Vahe Enfiajyan congratulated him on assuming the post and wished success in his responsible work.
Thierry Ribo provided details on the work done by his organization since the end of hostilities. He said that the ICRC, as a neutral and impartial organization, participated in the search for missing persons, the search for the bodies of the victims, met with Armenian prisoners of war and got acquainted with the conditions of their detention.
The head of the ICRC delegation assured that their organization will continue to carry out its humanitarian mediation mission.
The Deputy Speaker of the RA Parliament expressed readiness to assist the structure to the best of its ability to carry out work more quickly and efficiently.
