In accordance with the assigned tasks, the Russian peacekeeping contingent continues to monitor the implementation of the agreement on the cessation of hostilities in Artsakh.
The Russian military field hospital in Stepanakert provides quality medical care not only to the Russian military, but also to the local population. So far, Russian specialists have provided assistance to 29 residents, including 4 children.
Instolling of the second military hospital in Martakert has been completed and will start providing medical assistance to Russian peacekeepers and residents of nearby settlements. In addition, locals are assisted by mobile teams of military doctors. In total, 558 people have already received assistance, including 67 children.
As of December 16, the safe return of more than 40,000 displaced people to Artsakh has been ensured with the help of peacekeepers. By them also the power supply system was completely restored, for the implementation of which 18 km of power lines and 50 pillars were repaired. Uninterrupted electricity supply has been restored in 24 settlements with a total population of more than 12,000 people.
Russian sappers from the Humanitarian Demining Center cleared an area of 195 hectares and 60 km of road from unexploded mines and shells. The presence of unexploded ordnance was checked in 405 buildings. More than 6,000 explosive devices were found and destroyed.
The exchange of bodies of the dead, as well as the search for the missing, continues between the Armenian and Azerbaijani sides together with the ICRC representatives. More than 490 phone calls were received to the hotline for information on the disappearance of soldiers and civilians.
