The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Artsakh Republic informs that the city council of Montpellier, France, has adopted a resolution in support of the Armenians of Artsakh.
In the resolution, the city council:
- Expresses the friendship and support of the city of Montpellier to the Armenian population of Artsakh, who are in grief and forced to leave their homes,
- Calls on the French Government to make adequate diplomatic and humanitarian efforts commensurate with the challenges so that the suffering of migration does not add to the grave consequences of military aggression,
- Appeals to the Government of France to recognize the Republic of Artsakh and authorize the Mayor to send a letter to the Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs in this regard.
