12 captives were handed over to the competent bodies of Azerbaijan, and 44 were handed over to Armenian side. The Commander of the Russian peacekeeping contingent in Karabakh, Lieutenant General Rustam Muradov stated this at the Erebuni Airport (Yerevan), Sputnik Armenia reports.
"Captives were exchanged on a "all for all "basis. It was preceded by extensive preparations with the Azerbaijani and Armenian sides, which were carried out by the Russian peacekeepers", Muradov said.
He also noted that the Russian peacekeepers will continue to contribute to the smooth implementation of the trilateral agreement.
