The Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs Stefan Visconti (France), Andrew Chaffer (USA), the Charge d'Affaires of the Russian Embassy in Armenia Alexei Sinegubov and the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk.
The Prime Minister considered important the visit of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs to the region after the war unleashed by Azerbaijan against Nagorno Karabakh. Pashinyan considered it necessary to resume talks in the format of the Minsk Group co-chairing for a comprehensive settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Nikol Pashinyan also stressed the importance of clarifying the status of Artsakh, taking into account the importance of exercising the right of Artsakhis to self-determination, de-occupation of Artsakh territories occupied by Azerbaijan, ensuring conditions for safe return of Artsakh Armenians to their homes, preservation of religious and cultural heritage.
The Prime Minister condemned the Azeri violation of the commitments undertaken by the trilateral statement, which was manifested in the provocative actions on the Artsakh-Azerbaijani line of contact on December 11 and 12.
Issues related to the situation after the war, the resumption of the negotiation process, the restoration of the rights of the Artsakh Armenians and the provision of security were discussed during the meeting.
