Summing up the first day of the EU summit in Brussels, the French President Emanuel Macron said that the sanctions against Turkey "show the EU's determination".
"Sanctions imposed against Turkey for drilling in the eastern Mediterranean show that destabilizing actions are no longer acceptable to the EU", Macron said, adding that the EU is ready for dialogue with Turkey.
And the German Chancellor Angela Merkel said: "We agree on the discussion of arms exports to Turkey in the context of NATO". Merkel also said that a report on Turkey should be prepared for the EU summit in March. The report will examine the issue of both Libya and Nagorno Karabakh.
