The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova, during the briefing, answering the question of "Lurer" about the agreement on unblocking economic communications, achieved by the trilateral statement of the leaders of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan, said.
"According to the 9th point of the trilateral statement of the leaders of the three countries, all economic and transport communications in the region will be unblocked. The Republic of Armenia ensures the security of transport communication with the western regions of Azerbaijan with the Autonomous Republic of Nakhichevan for the purpose of uninterrupted movement of citizens, vehicles and goods.
Traffic control is carried out by the Border Guard Service of the Russian Federal Security Service. An agreement was also reached between the parties to ensure the construction of a new transport communication, which connects Nakhichevan with the main territory of Azerbaijan.
Unblocking economic ties and building new communications is a long process in which various specialized structures need to be involved. The main issues must be resolved by the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan", said Maria Zakharova.
