The President of the Artsakh Republic Arayik Harutyunyan issued a message on the occasion of the NKR state independence referendum and Constitution Day.
"Dear compatriots, today is the day of the referendum on the NKR state independence and the Constitution. Through referendums in both 1991 and 2006, our people have reaffirmed their will and determination to live and create on their own land, to develop and strengthen their homeland. Today our goals and aspirations are the same, the decision is unchanged.
We have overcome many trials and tribulations on the hard path of state-building, we have had irreparable losses, but we have always remained steadfast and unbreakable, strong and determined. We have faced the most difficult challenges, especially in recent months, suffering irreversible and painful losses, but our path is steady, our will is stronger.
And today, keeping the unspeakable pain and sorrow in us, healing the bleeding wounds day by day, we will move forward, build the homeland of our dreams, shape the future of our generations.
May each of your families be blessed and peace to you", Harutyunyan wrote on his Facebook page.
