The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) on November 30, December 2, 4 and 7 upheld the applications of the Armenian side in the case of the protection of the rights of captured servicemen and detained civilians during the large-scale war waged by Azerbaijan against Artsakh, related to another 22 people. Lawyer Artak Zeynalyan stated this on Facebook.
"The European Court has requested documented information from the Azerbaijani government on the fact of their detention, their location, detention conditions and medical care. The court set a deadline of 07.12.2020, 09.12.2020, 10.12.2020, 11.12.2020 and 14.12.2020 to provide the required information, respectively.
In addition, the Government of Azerbaijan, in response to questions raised by the European Court in previous cases, provided a formal, evasive and incomplete answer, in particular, did not substantiate the whereabouts and conditions of the Armenian prisoners of war, did not submit any proof of medical examination and possible treatment, noting, that will present them in the near future", Zeynalyan said.
