The message of the Catholicos Aram I, in particular, reads:
"The collective will of our people, the general and supreme interests of our people and the homeland must remain above all kinds of considerations and become the guiding factor of our thoughts, decisions and actions.
Driven by these principles and commitment, about two years ago the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan assumed the helm of power in Armenia.
In the current crisis conditions, we call on the Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to resign from the post of Prime Minister based on the same principles and commitment, giving the National Assembly an opportunity to elect a new Prime Minister, respecting the constitutional order and process.
Our expectation is that the interim government of national accord to be formed under the leadership of the new Prime Minister to be elected will prioritize the organization of early elections to the National Assembly as soon as possible.
Let us pray to the Most High God to receive our martyrs in His heavenly kingdom, to heal the wounded as soon as possible, to return the captives and to comfort the bereaved families, to keep our nation and homeland away from all evils”.
