The Russian peacekeeping force is monitoring the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh around the clock. The ceasefire is maintained along the entire line of contact.
The Russian peacekeepers ensure the safe return of civilians to their places of permanent residence, provide humanitarian assistance and restore civilian and engineering infrastructure.
Civilians are returning to Nagorno Karabakh from Armenia. Another 1,244 people returned to their former homes in one day. The safe return of 31,917 displaced people has already been ensured during the peacekeeping operation.
The Russian peacekeepers continue to clear the Nagorno-Karabakh region of explosive devices. Engineering exploration and demining continue along the power lines in the Shushi-Lisagor road.
In one day, an area of 8.1 hectares and 1.6 km of road were cleared, 8 explosive objects were found and destroyed. In total, 57.87 hectares of land, 18.6 km of roads, 108 residential buildings and 4 objects of social significance were cleared during the demining in Nagorno Karabakh, 1,115 explosive objects were found.
With the help of the Russian peacekeepers, the restoration of vital engineering communications continues in the areas affected by the hostilities. One pillar and 2 km of power lines, 2.2 km of gas pipeline, 1.2 km of communication route and five transformer substations were repaired in one day.
The mobile brigade of the military hospital of the RF Ministry of Defense held consultations in Mkhitarashen settlement and provided specialized medical care to 37 residents, including 4 children.
The second hospital is being set up in Martakert. A humanitarian action took place in Askeran school, during which the Russian peacekeepers handed over school backpacks with school supplies to the children of families in difficult situations.
As a result of cooperation between the Russian peacekeeping forces and the ICRC, the bodies of the victims are being searched and handed over. There is a hotline to gather information on missing persons during the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. More than 200 telephone calls have been received since the launch of the hotline.
Ongoing cooperation with the General Staffs of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan and Armenia has been organized to ensure the security of Russian peacekeepers and prevent possible incidents.
All operations of the Russian peacekeeping force are carried out in accordance with the measures taken to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection.
