Today's sitting of the Government began with the discussion of the issue of approving the measure of social assistance to the families of the victims and the disabled among the civilians as a result of the war waged by Azerbaijan against Artsakh since September 27. The draft was adopted unanimously.
The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Mesrop Arakelyan detailed that the program proposes to provide assistance to the families of the victims in the amount of 5 million drams. Assistance will also be provided to persons with disabilities according to disability groups:
- in case of the first group disability in the amount of 3,000,000 AMD,
- in case of the second group disability in the amount of 2,000,000 AMD,
- in case of the third group disability in the amount of 1,000,000 AMD,
- in case of the status of a disabled child in the amount of 3,000,000 AMD,
Citizens of both the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Artsakh can benefit from the assistance program. Social assistance is provided in the form of one-time financial assistance. To use this event, you must submit an electronic application by April 1, 2021.
In the case of servicemen, the issue is settled through the Insurance Foundation for Servicemen.
