Within the framework of his working visit to Artsakh, on December 2, the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia Vagharshak Harutyunyan met with the Minister of Defense of the Artsakh Republic, Commander of the Defense Army, Lieutenant General Mikael Arzumanyan.
The commander of the Defense Army presented the situation on the Artsakh-Azerbaijani line of contact, the work carried out on the front line, the process of creating new infrastructure. Mikael Arzumanyan stressed that in order to fully fulfill the further tasks and ensure the security of Artsakh, reorganization of the troops and review of the problems and structure of the subdivisions are underway.
The RA Minister of Defense highlighted the large-scale work carried out in the Defense Army and assured that all possible actions will be taken to transform and further strengthen the security system of the two Armenian republics.
Issues related to the cooperation with the Russian peacekeeping contingent were also touched upon.
